AI Chat Organizer ("ACO", "we", "the extension") is a browser extension that helps you organize AI chat conversations into folders.

Data We Collect

ACO operates entirely in your browser. We do not operate servers that receive your data.

Data stored locally on your device (IndexedDB):

• Folder names, structure, and colors
• Chat references (conversation ID, cached title, URL, platform)
• Prompt library entries (label and content you create or save)

Data read from supported websites (processed in-browser only):

• Conversation lists and message metadata from pages you visit on chatgpt.com, gemini.google.com, and claude.ai
• This data is used to display folders and message actions; message content is kept in memory during your session and is not persisted to storage

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not transmit your data to external servers
• We do not use analytics or tracking
• We do not require an account
• We do not sell or share your data

Permissions

ACO requests access to supported AI chat sites to inject UI and read conversation metadata from pages you are already viewing. The "storage" permission (if present) is used for local browser storage.

Data Retention

All data remains on your device until you uninstall the extension or clear browser data for the extension.
